Droughts, floods, heatwaves, and other climate phenomenon have not just an impact on our homes and lives, it does increasingly have an impact on industrial activities. Climate change is not only affecting Africa or Antarctica, it happens in Germany too.
We all feel how our work efficiency varies whether the temperature in our workplace is 20C or 36C.
Both human organizations and technical infrastructures are directly impacted with the recent evolution of our climate. For example, cooling services are operating under growing challenges.
Germany is not the most exposed country in term of extreme weather, but the recent records of flooding, droughts or tornados shows news patterns that will need to be taken into consideration in the planning of future industrial activities.
Beside the geopolitical situation, climate is now a factor that is a main financial key factor. The resilience of businesses to their respective climate risk profile will decide of their future economical success.
This short introduction on key basics understandings is a different aspect that will be important to integrate for the future of your work.
