Visual Data Analysis with Python (engl.)

Data Analysis plays an important role in more and more domains. This course teaches the basics of visual data analysis with the programming language Python. It provides an application-oriented introduction based on common libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Plotly, and Scikit-learn. Besides data preprocessing, you will learn and practice creating effective visualizations based on the analysis tasks. A special focus lies on applying the knowledge based on different examples. At the end of the course, you will be able to visually analyze your own data with respect to different analysis tasks.

Requirements: Bring your own laptop! Basic programming skills in any programming language are helpful. Python knowledge is not required.

Marina Evers ist Postdoktorandin an der Universität Stuttgart. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt in der Visualisierung und visuellen Analytik, insbesondere in der Darstellung und Analyse von unsicheren sowie wissenschaftlichen Daten. Nach einem erfolgreichen Abschluss ihres Physikstudiums schloss sie 2023 ihre Promotion in Informatik an der Universität Münster ab.
