Introduction to Linux (LPI Linux Essentials) (engl.)
Most of the internet runs on Linux. That’s why it’s very useful to be familiar with Linux as well as Windows, and to be able to use the command line (bash) as a result. This course covers the basics of Linux (based on the LPI Essentials certification). By the end, you will be familiar with several Linux distributions (openSUSE, Fedora, openSUSE), be able to use the command line and write simple scripts in bash.

B.Sc. Sarah Julia Kriesch
Sarah Julia Kriesch ist ausgebildete Fachinformatikerin – Systemintegration mit Spezialisierung Linux-Systemadministration. Nach der Ausbildung und 4 Jahren Berufserfahrung als Linux-Systemadministratorin hat sie erfolgreich an der TH Nürnberg Informatik (B.Sc.) studiert und als DevOps Consultant gearbeitet. Ihre Bachelorarbeit hat sie über Kubernetes auf dem Mainframe bei IBM geschrieben. Sie ist Mainframe Architektin und Open Source Evangelist. Seit 12 Jahren trägt sie in ihrer Freizeit (+ jetzt beruflich) als Linux Maintainer zu openSUSE bei. Außerdem ist sie (Co-)Chair der Linux Distributions Working Group beim Open Mainframe Project. Berufsbegleitend studiert sie den VaWi-Master in Wirtschaftsinformatik an der Universität Bamberg.
