Workshop Morning (11 am - 12.30 pm)

W1: Digital accessibility (German language)

In the Digital Accessibility workshop, participants learn what the terms "barrier-free" and "accessibility" mean, for which groups of people accessibility is relevant and helpful, why accessibility should be taken into account when creating software, how accessibility can be ensured and which tools can help.

After a theoretical overview of the topic of accessibility, the participants learn which procedures can be used to check websites for accessibility. The knowledge gained is then used in small groups to identify barriers of existing websites with the help of the test methods presented.

No previous knowledge of computer science is necessary.
