Credit points according to ECTS and grades

As a lecturer of a half-week course, you can award credit points (according to ECTS) if all of the following conditions are met:

  • You yourself have at least a Bachelor's degree from a university and
  • For one credit point, the participant performs a workload of 30 units of 45 minutes each. This includes course content, preparation and follow-up work.
For example: preparation of a presentation for the course or afterwards as an elaboration of a topic of the course or as an exercise task(s).
With a course duration of 16 units of 45 minutes each, the participant must also provide an additional service of 14 times 45 minutes.
  • A maximum of 1 credit point according to ECTS can be awarded for a half-week course.
Credit points (ECTS) are awarded in cooperation with the programme committee and Furtwangen University.

Procedure with or without grading

  1. You consider the requirements that a participant must fulfill in order to receive a credit point (e.g. successfully completing a homework assignment).
  2. You specify the requirements when submitting your course and whether or not a grade can be awarded for them.
  3. At the beginning of the course, the participant informs you that she would like to earn an ECTS with or without a grade.
  4. The participant completes the work - usually within 4 weeks of the end of the course.
  5. You inform the F.I.T. network whether the work has been completed and, if so, the grade. And you send the coursework or examination for archiving.

Grading is only possible upon prior request and cannot be demanded retroactively.

The informatica feminale Baden-Wurttemberg will take place in Freiburg in 2024. The venue is the University of Freiburg:

79110 Freiburg im Breisgau

The exact facilities will be posted in good time.

Accommodation

A hotel contingent for lecturers will be kept available. You will be informed about this by e-mail.

Certificates of Attendance

Participants receive a certificate if they have taken part in a half-week course. The certificates are prepared by the F.I.T. network.
The lecturer can give the certificate to the participant at the end of the course if no credit point is awarded or if the work has already been completed.

The lecturer notes on a list for the F.I.T. network which certificates have already been issued and which have not yet been issued.
Certificates for which proof of achievement of the credit point is still outstanding are submitted to the F.I.T. network. After a processing period of six weeks, the lecturer submits the certificate to the F.I.T. network. Only then will the complete certificate be sent to the participant by the F.I.T. network.
