...will begin in spring 2026, both for the courses and for the supporting programme. You will need to register for some events in the supporting programme, but not for others. However, it is always free of charge if you are participating in a 3-day or day course.

EDUCATION TIME & EDUCATION LEAVE

Furtwangen University has been recognised as an educational institution for measures under the Bildungszeitgesetz (BzG BW) since October 2015. The courses of meccanica feminale and informatica feminale BW are organised by the project "Netzwerk Frauen.Innovation.Technik" (Network Women.Innovation.Technology) regardless of the venue at Furtwangen University and are recognised by the Faculty of Mechanical & Medical Engineering as elective courses.

Therefore, the courses of meccanica and informatica feminale can partly be applied for as education time, this depends on further requirements. Comprehensive information on Baden-Württemberg can be found here. The legal provisions are set out in the BzG BW.

***PLEASE NOTE! In Baden-Württemberg, applications for educational leave must be submitted nine weeks in advance.***

CAFETERIA & CATERING

...during the event, participants and lecturers are welcome to visit our Popup-Cafeteria and stock up on free drinks, fruit and snacks. And even more importantly: this is the right place to network during the breaks.

CREDIT POINTS (ECTS)

If your participation is to be recognised as academic credit, you must clarify this in advance with the head of your degree programme. In courses where grading is possible and desired by you, you must discuss this with the lecturer at the start of the course.

Habt ihr ein Betreuungsproblem? Wir versuchen, eine professionelle Betreuung für euch zu organisieren. Please contact us by email as soon as possible, by June 29 at the latest. The cost is €15 per day per child.

Not only participants but all (!) interested parties are welcome to attend the opening event. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required.

Our exhibition (Building 101, foyer) is also open to all interested parties at any time.

Free social programme

You can take part in the social program free of charge. You have to register for some events in the social programme, but not for others. However, it is always free of charge if you take part in a 3-day or one-day course.

LANGUAGE

The language of informatica feminale is German. We are pleased that we can also offer you some program items in English. Should there be any problems due to the language, please do not hesitate to contact us.

CANCELLATION

Please inform us immediately in writing so that we can allocate the places to other interested parties, also directly on the website or at email. For cancellations up to 4 weeks before the start of the event, the participation fee will be refunded in full. If you cancel later, we will have to retain the full participation fee. Please provide your bank details when cancelling so that we can refund any fees already paid.

Lecturers receive the necessary information directly from us in advance.
