Credit points according to ECTS and grades

You can award credit points (according to ECTS) as a lecturer of a 3-Day-course if all the following conditions are met:

  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree from a university.
  • For one credit point, the participant performs a workload of 30 units of 45 minutes each. This includes course content, preparation and follow-up work. For example: preparation of a presentation for the course or afterwards additional work on a topic of the course or homework. With a course duration of 16 units of 45 minutes each, the participant must also provide additional work of 14 units of 45 minutes each. The work to be done is agreed between the lecturer and the participant.
  • A maximum of 1 credit point according to ECTS can be awarded for a 3-day course.
Credit points (ECTS) are awarded in cooperation with the programme committee and Furtwangen University.

Procedure with or without grading

  1. You consider the requirements that a participant must fulfill in order to receive a credit point (e.g. successfully completing a homework assignment).
  2. You specify the requirements when submitting your course and whether or not a grade can be awarded for them.
  3. At the beginning of the course, the participant informs you that she would like to earn an ECTS with or without a grade.
  4. The participant completes the work - usually within 4 weeks of the end of the course.
  5. You inform the F.I.T. network whether the work has been completed and, if so, the grade. And you send the coursework or examination for archiving.

Grading

Grading is only possible upon prior request and cannot be demanded retroactively.

Certificates of Attendance

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of a half-week or one-day course. The certificates are prepared by the F.I.T. network.
The lecturer can give the certificate to the participant at the end of the course if no credit point is awarded or if the work has already been completed.

The lecturer notes on a list for the F.I.T. network which certificates have already been issued and which have not yet been issued.
Certificates for which the credit points have not yet been awarded are submitted to the F.I.T. network. After a reasonable processing time, the lecturer will send the F.I.T. network confirmation that the course requirements have been met. Only then will the F.I.T. network send the participant their complete certificate.

The lecturers also receive a certificate confirming their teaching activities.
