Around 110 female students and professionals, mainly from the field of computer science, took part in the informatica feminale BW 2026 Summer School from 28 July to 1 August 2026. The programme comprised 15 specialist and soft skills courses, 3 workshops, 4 coaching sessions, 6 lunch talks and 2 guided tours. Around 30 female professionals shared their expertise as lecturers and speakers and, as role models, gave the participants an insight into their experiences.
At informatica feminale BW, female students can explore their degree subjects in greater depth, learn new skills for their careers, or simply engage with topics they enjoy.
Who can claim to have built and programmed their own drone? Where else do you get the chance to plan your career using project management techniques? Where else can you venture onto the dark web under supervision?

Anika Holtermüller’s keynote speech was particularly well received. Under the title “Who still needs juniors? (m/f/d) – The future of work in the age of generative AI”, she succeeded in bridging the gap between the topics of AI, women, society and sustainability.
Networking. Networking. Networking.
The highlight of the week was the networking evening. But the participants were also able to make new contacts in the pop-up cafeteria. They rounded off the day at the comic or theatre workshop, whilst mixing cocktails, or at the women’s-only outdoor swimming pool.
informatica feminale BW *ON TOUR* & meccanica feminale
Anyone who’s now curious can get a first taste of informatica at the one-day spin-off event at DHBW Karlsruhe on 28 November.
Preparations are also well under way for ‘Meccanica Feminale’ – the winter school for female students and professionals, particularly in the fields of engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and medical technology. It will take place at the University of Stuttgart from 2 to 26 March 2027.
