IF24-W02 Sketching for UX design (engl.)

Sketching and storyboarding are the two main components of a UX design process because, as in all creative fields, it requires communicating ideas, visuals, or scenarios. UX designers come from a variety of backgrounds, and sometimes, it’s uncomfortable for some to pick up a pen and express their opinions on paper. Therefore, in this course, I would like to guide you through a series of basic exercises and methods to eliminate the fear of being imperfect while sketching.

We will divide the 90-minute workshop into two sections. In the first part, we will start with a warm-up. Next, we will discuss how to draw lines, shapes, and volumes. We will then try to draw objects from daily life using simple shapes.

In the second part of the course, we will focus on how to draw people in different positions and perspectives, proportions, basic hand gestures, and human-product interactions.

I will give you short explanations and examples for each part, and then we will start drawing immediately. During the practical sessions, you will be given feedback and guidance. Oh, and no erasers are allowed. We will only use pens!
